Voted to approve SHP Meeting Minutes of November 4, 2008

Johnson Road

The members reviewed Article 6 from the Town Warrant (Nov 17, 2008)concerning the land that may become available at Johnson Road if future action is taken at TM on this issue. From the information available it does not appear to be a sizable parcel of land (< ½ acre). Jane Desberg offered to write a letter to the BOS expressing the SHP’s interest in this parcel for affordable housing. Jane Desberg will follow up with the Town Engineer to determine if this parcel is suitable.

Horizons for Youth

Jane Desberg provided information from the HFYRC on potentially buildable lots. Only one lot appears to be suitable for building and this site is very steep. The group did not feel this looked promising for affordable housing development due to the costs involved.

Glenview Road

Jane Desberg reported that it appears that no rent has been paid since tenants have been there. The tenants have been notified to vacate and a court date is scheduled for December 18.

Wilber School

Ground breaking is tentatively scheduled for mid-December.

Other Parcels

The group discussed going to look at the lot at 235R Wolomolopoag and a lot on Old Post Road noted by Eli Hauser as potentially buildable. Lou Modestino offered to research these properties for the next meeting.
